Context: A technology firm faced with escalating health care costs and increasingly complex administration wanted to explore the emerging active employee private exchange marketplace.

Strategy: Bill Kerrigan partnered with a national independent broker to develop the technology firm’s objectives to determine the appropriateness of an exchange strategy. As part of this process, we conducted a market Request for Information (RFI) to gather data on the private exchange vendors.

Outcome: After reviewing the different private exchange models, the organization determined that this emerging model did not meet their benefit objectives. We led the company through an open-minded and independent inquiry without a preconceived answer to the question.
